Pharmacological action
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a polypeptide hormone found in pregnant women during the early stages of pregnancy. GONADOVER+ stimulates the production of testosterone (in men), estrogen and progesterone after ovulation (in women). Enhances steroidogenesis in the gonads.
HCG is used by men with - hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, impaired spermatogenesis, delayed puberty with insufficient gonadotropic function of the pituitary gland, cryptorchidism; in women - induction of ovulation and superovulation, incl. before puncture the follicles, maintaining the function of the corpus luteum.
Dosage & method of use
For hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, dyspermia, delayed rates of puberty in men – 1000-2000 I.U. of GONADOVER+ (HCG) 2-3 times a week. The cycle duration is 6 weeks;
For cryptorchidism children under the age of 6 years — 500-1000 I.U. of GONADOVER+ (HCG) 2-3 times a week, older than 6 years — 1500 I.U. of GONADOVER+ (HCG) 2-3 times a week. The cycle duration is 6 weeks;
For induction of ovulation after treatment with humegon – 5000-10000 I.U. of GONADOVER+ (HCG) once;
For maintain the function of the corpus luteum – 5000-10000 I.U. of GONADOVER+ (HCG) 1-3 times (within 9 days after ovulation / follicle puncture);
Dosage and frequency of injections of GONADOVER+ (HCG) for athletes using steroid drugs is selected individually (as directed by the Physician).
Side effects
Possible side effects:
headache, anxiety, depression, fatigue, swelling and pain at the injection site.
